DropCat is a Finder-style macOS app for browsing remote machines over SSH and moving files between them and your Mac.

What it does

  • Machines sidebar with status dots, favorites and per-machine state.
  • Finder-like views in list and icon modes, with tree expansion, inline rename, new folder and delete.
  • Drag in from Finder to upload, and Quick Look (Space) to preview remote files.
  • Uses your own setup: it reuses system ssh, keys and agent, and only reads ~/.ssh/config to pre-fill or import hosts.

Install

Download the latest .dmg from the releases page and drag DropCat into Applications. Source on GitHub, site at dropcat.vercel.app.
